Methodology & trust
The recording remains the authority.
Fawaid Archive makes spoken material searchable. It does not replace listening, scholarly study, or verification before quotation.
- 01
Acquire
Use declared captions when they pass source-level quality checks; otherwise transcribe public audio with timed speaker segments.
- 02
Preserve
Keep provider output and immutable transcript versions. Corrections create a new version; they never silently overwrite quoted text.
- 03
Index
Search literal wording, normalized spelling, full text, fuzzy variants, and semantic similarity. Exact wording always receives the strongest rank.
- 04
Cite
Return the stored excerpt, adjacent context, source status, transcript provenance, and timestamp. The archive does not compose a religious answer.
