Use & responsibility
Terms of use
These terms set the boundaries for using a free archive whose central promise is traceable retrieval—not generated religious guidance.
Effective: August 24, 2026
The service
Fawaid Archive is a research and source-retrieval tool. It stores and searches timestamped transcript passages and points visitors back to public recordings. It is not a scholar, mufti, fatwa service, substitute for study, or emergency service.
Verify before relying or quoting
Machine transcripts and translations can mishear or mistranslate words, omit context, or misidentify a speaker. Search ranking can surface a relevant-looking passage that does not answer the visitor’s question. Always listen to the recording, read the surrounding context, inspect the transcript-status and speaker labels, and consult qualified scholarship where appropriate.
- The archive does not generate religious answers or summaries; English translations are labeled machine-generated.
- A transcript or translation marked Machine has not necessarily received full human review.
- A timestamp and source link support verification; they do not certify an interpretation.
Source material and rights
Recordings, channel names, thumbnails, and other source material remain the property of their respective owners. Fawaid Archive claims rights only in its original software, interface, organization, and other project-created material. Transcript availability does not grant permission to republish a recording or a substantial transcript.
- Use quotations in accordance with applicable law and the source owner’s terms.
- Do not remove attribution or present machine text as an official transcript.
- Rights holders and authorized representatives may submit a review or takedown request through the Report page or by email.
Accounts
An account is optional and is used for private saved material, correction reports, and authorized editorial work. You are responsible for your Google account security and for activity performed through your Fawaid Archive session. Do not share editorial access or misrepresent your identity or authority.
Acceptable use
You may search, read, link to sources, save private research notes, and submit good-faith corrections or rights reports. You may not interfere with the service or use it to harm others.
- Do not bypass rate limits, access controls, source withdrawals, or technical protections.
- Do not submit malicious code, false rights claims, spam, harassment, or unlawful material.
- Do not run automated extraction that degrades service availability or ignores published API limits.
- Do not use archive output to impersonate a scholar, fabricate a ruling, or knowingly circulate a misleading quotation.
Availability and changes
The service may add, correct, withdraw, or temporarily disable records, features, and accounts to protect rights, security, integrity, or operations. We may change these terms as the project develops. Continued use after an updated effective date means you accept the revised terms.
No warranty; responsibility
The service is provided as available and without a promise that every transcript, source, timestamp, search result, or third-party link is complete, accurate, continuously available, or suitable for a particular purpose. To the extent allowed by law, the project is not responsible for losses caused by reliance on an unverified transcript, an interpretation made by a visitor, third-party content, or interruption of the free service. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
